Since we’ve opened, we’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members in . We take pride in creating an environment for individuals to achieve, develop and succeed in their personal goals.
We strongly believe that martial arts can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience levels. Throughout all of our programs, students will not only learn the necessary skill sets to protect themselves, we stand behind our realistic and practical approach, confident it will enable every member to achieve greatness and live their best life..
Our Mission
This is a Christian Martial Art System and not just Christians doing martial arts. Our mission to teach martial arts in Cedar Hill, Tx is to not only make martial arts spiritually safe for Christians, but to make them stronger physically by training them in the Christian Martial Art of Shinja Yuuki Ryu. By blending more than one style of martial arts together you will have a more rounded understanding of how to defend yourself or someone else. When we offer martial arts training in Cedar Hill, Texas we focus on all aspects of a Christian Martial Artist’s life and becoming a servant to the people of our community.
We will do this by:
- To put God first in all things we do.
- To provide each student with the foundation for learning martial arts and how to use that in a Christ-like manner.
- To focus on the strength and courage needed for success in our life as a Child of God and as a martial artist.
- To instill love and respect for God, family, country and community.
- To provide a way for each student to achieve a higher level of mental and physical fitness.
- To teach all ages to train hard & be patient as they learn techniques for each rank. This is not a crash course but rather a new walk.
- To give our students the ability to defend themselves and those who can’t.

I started my martial arts training in 1992 with Tracy Kenpo and then in 2003 I made the switch to Matsumura Seito Shorin Ryu. While training in this striking art I was cross training in Kodukan Judo. Shinja Yuuki Ryu (Christian Courage School) is a mixture of all my training. My school system is under the guidance of Shinja Martial Arts University and GM John Enger and GM Tony Southard.
This is a Christian Martial Art System that incorporates Bible studies to ensure a foundation in Christ as well the traditional Okinawan karate requirements.
I am blessed to travel the world while working for Life Outreach International where I produce and shoot video of the need for water, food, shelter and combating human trafficking. One of the main campaigns that have affected me has been human trafficking and this has added to what and why I teach martial arts the way I do today; seeing firsthand the evil there is and how easily someone becomes trapped.

I started my martial arts training in Matsumura Seito Shorin Ryu in 2003. In 2008 my father Master David Skelton and I started building our system of Shinja Yuuki Ryu which is a Christian Martial Arts system revolving around teaching men and women not only to be better people but to do so as how Christ calls us to be. Shinja Yuuki Ryu (Christian Courage School) is a mixture of Shorin Ryu, Kenpo, and Judo. It has been such an honor to have had a small part in kids lives, helping them learn about martial arts and about our amazing Savior.
Outside of my Martial Arts career I work in Physical Therapy as a tech. I aspire to become a Therapist myself. From my years in karate it sparked my interest in human anatomy and how the body works and how it doesn’t. Years ago I discovered Physical Therapy and fell in love with it, at a very young age I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life, which was a huge blessing. I am also recently married to my childhood love, high school sweetheart, and only boyfriend. My husband Eric and I were happily married in October of 2018.
